Diam

Dia(m) yang kamu temui setiap hari, kamu sambangi setiap menit kamu mulai merasa lunglai, kamu hampiri setiap detik kamu merasa sendiri.

You know I’ll always be here for you.

      Hi Nena,
I stumbled upon your blog and am loving it!!! Especially on the challenges of finding “decent” restaurants (something decently priced, w/ a bit of ambience….hampir nga ada!!). I worked in Batam while living in Singapore, so I’m quite familiar w/ that challenge.

These days you should definitely go check out, some of these places:

      1. Montigo Resort, Nongsa. By now they should have the Beach Club open (kinda Kudeta vibe… at least that’s how they explained the plan when I visited Montigo last Sept, when they only had the “IKAN” Restaurant open.

      2. Turi Beach, Nongsa. Another good option. Not too expensive. Great open space (and breeze) at their Coffee Shop downstairs, close to the old pool (there’s a new pool in the new wing).

      3. Kongkow Cafe at the Driving Range opposite Sukajadi Housing Complex (I can’t remember the name of the Housing Complex… Melati something).

      4. My colleagues once took me to a pasar kaget kind of thing, behind Harmoni Hotel in Nagoya for AYAM BAWANG!! To die for!! Really yummy!

Let’s stay connected! Keep blogging and stay positive!! I FULLY UNDERSTAND what it feels to move to Batam (tempatnya relatif “KERING” as far as Lifestyle/Nongkrong Options!! Especially for Young Gaul Jakartans!! ha.. ha..)

BTW, w/ you permission I’m reposting your pic above. I assume it’s from Telunas Beach Resort, right?

PS: Are you an AFS/Binabud Returnee?? I am, a very long time ago!!!

      Best regards,

      Dian
